This Battery Box is for the Odyssey PC625 and PC680 Batteries.  The box is intended to be installed in  the forward baggage compartment of the RV-8/8A.  The advantages of this design follow:

• Sized to fit the PC625 and PC680.
• Uses the same Z section extrusion Van's uses for the tank attach brackets.
• Uses the hold down strap included with Van's battery box.
• Requires no special equipment to fabricate.
• Since the actual box is only screwed to the mounting brackets, the box can be remade or modified to fit other battery designs should Odyssey go out of business or be deemed unsuitable for your aircraft.

These are now available in kit form.  In the kit you get detailed assembly drawings, pre punched and bent tray, extrusions and hardware.  You supply tie down bolts (Home depot sells these).  Kit price is $50.  Assembly time is under one hour.
